SUNRIDGE POTTERY

Contemporary Ceramics handcrafted by potters Frank Willett and Luisa Baldinger in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Frank Willett

Frank Willett began his career in clay more than fifty years ago as a youth in California. His work in porcelain and stoneware is widely known and respected in the ceramic art community in New Mexico. A master of his craft, he has won numerous honors and his work has been widely shown and collected, both in New Mexico and nationally. He holds an MA in Fine Art from CSU Los Angeles and taught high school art in California before moving to Santa Fe in 1971, where he established Santa Fe Pottery on historic Guadalupe Street. Throughout the years he has produced pottery continuously with an unerring sense of beautiful form, good design and superb craftsmanship.

Luisa Baldinger

Luisa Baldinger’s introduction to pottery took place high in the Peruvian Andes where she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the mid-sixties. She holds a BA in Art from Colorado College, and did graduate work in ceramics at Ohio University. Her work has been represented in a number of galleries nationally. Since returning to Santa Fe in 1980 where she grew up, she has worked together with Frank to produce Sunridge Pottery, wheel-thrown and hand-built functional pottery for every-day use and pleasure.
